Customizing Your Booking Page
Written By Lucas Stefanski

Your booking page is your online storefront - where potential clients discover your services and book with you. A well-designed booking page builds trust and makes it easy for pet parents to say yes.
Your booking page is public and shareable at: app.scritches.io/book/[your-address]
What Is a Booking Page?
Your booking page is a custom URL where clients can:
Learn about your business
View your services and pricing
See client reviews (Solo Pro plan)
Book appointments or request bookings
Fill out intake forms (for new clients)
Sign required agreements
Think of it as your website's booking section - but Scritches provides it for you.
Your Booking Page URL
Your Unique Address
During onboarding, you chose a unique address (called a "slug"). Your booking page is:
app.scritches.io/book/[your-address]
Examples:
app.scritches.io/book/happypawsapp.scritches.io/book/sarahs-dog-walkingapp.scritches.io/book/paws-and-play
Changing Your Address
Find Portal Address
Enter your new address
Click Save
Important: Changing your address breaks any old links you've shared. Only change it if absolutely necessary.
Reserved Addresses
Some addresses are reserved and can't be used (like "admin", "settings", "help", etc.). If your preferred address is taken, try adding your city name or a descriptive word.
Accessing Booking Page Settings
Go to Settings β Organization β Portal Settings to customize your booking page.
Branding Your Page
Business Logo
Your logo appears in the header of your booking page.
To upload:
Click Upload Logo
Choose an image file (PNG, JPG, or SVG)
Crop if needed
Save
Logo tips:
Use a square or horizontal logo
Minimum size: 200x200 pixels
Clear, simple designs work best
Transparent background (PNG) looks most professional
Avoid very detailed logos (they don't scale well)
Cover Photos
Add photos that showcase your business, facilities, or happy pets. These appear in a carousel at the top of your booking page.
To add cover photos:
Click Add Cover Photo
Upload your image
Repeat for additional photos (up to 5 recommended)
Drag and drop to reorder
Photo tips:
Use high-quality, authentic photos
Show your facility, you with pets, or happy clients
Avoid stock photos - clients want to see the real you
Landscape orientation works best (16:9 ratio)
Minimum size: 1200x675 pixels
Show diversity: different services, different pets, different settings
Good photo ideas:
You walking a happy dog
Your boarding facility or play area
A group of dogs playing at daycare
You giving a treat to a cat during a visit
Before/after grooming shots
Your vehicle with business branding
Your About Section
The "About Us" section tells your story and builds trust with potential clients.
To edit:
Find About Us Text
Write or paste your description
Save
What to include:
Who you are and your background with pets
Years of experience or qualifications
What makes your service special
Your service area
Your philosophy or approach to pet care
Writing tips:
Keep it to 2-3 short paragraphs
Be warm and personal (you're caring for their family members!)
Mention any certifications (pet first aid, CPR, etc.)
Include what sets you apart
Avoid jargon - write like you're talking to a friend
Example:
Hi! I'm Sarah, and I've been caring for pets in the Portland area for over 8 years. I grew up with dogs and cats, and I can't imagine my life without them. I'm certified in pet first aid and CPR, and I treat every pet like my own. What makes Happy Paws different? I keep my schedule intentionally small so I can give each pet individual attention. You'll never feel like just another client - I'll get to know your pet's personality, quirks, and favorite toys. I serve the Northeast Portland area and specialize in anxious or senior dogs who need extra patience and care. Social Links and Website
Add links to your online presence:
Website: Your business website (if you have one)
Facebook: Your Facebook business page
Instagram: Your Instagram handle
These appear as clickable icons on your booking page.
Why add social links?
Builds credibility and trust
Lets clients see more photos and reviews
Shows you're an established business
Gives nervous clients a way to research you
Client Reviews
Note: Review display requires the Solo Pro plan (includes Review Booster).
Client reviews are powerful social proof. Display your best reviews directly on your booking page.
How Reviews Work
Reviews come from Scritches' Review Booster feature:
You send a report card after a visit
Client receives an automatic review request
Client submits a review
You select which reviews to display on your booking page
β Creating and Sending Report Cards (triggers review requests)
Displaying Reviews
Go to Review Booster in your sidebar
Find reviews you want to feature
Mark them to Display on Booking Page
Drag and drop to reorder (top reviews appear first)
Review Display Options
Show pet avatars: Display the pet's photo with the review (recommended)
Show star ratings: Display the star rating (1-5 stars)
Review order: Drag to reorder how reviews appear
Best practices:
Feature 3-5 of your best reviews
Include reviews that mention specific services
Choose reviews with details (not just "Great service!")
Update periodically with new reviews
Show diversity (different services, different pet types)
Booking Settings
Booking Mode
Choose how bookings are handled:

Recommendation: Start with Request Mode until you're comfortable, then switch to Instant.
Enable/Disable Booking Page
Turn your booking page on or off entirely:

When to disable:
Vacation or time off

Taking a break from new clients
Seasonal business during off-season
Client Agreement Requirement
Require new clients to accept your terms before booking.
To enable:
Toggle Require Agreement to ON
Customize your agreement text (or use the default)
Save
How it works:
New clients see your agreement during the booking process
They must scroll through and accept before completing booking
You have a record of who agreed and when
Agreement is stored with their client profile
Default agreement covers:
Services provided
Payment terms
Cancellation policy
Pet health requirements
Liability terms
Emergency procedures
Customize it to match your specific policies and local laws.
β Creating Client Agreements
New Client Registration
Require new clients to fill out an intake form when booking for the first time.
To enable:
Create an intake form first
In Portal Settings, select Required Intake Form
Choose which form to use
Save
How it works:
New client books a service
Before completing booking, they fill out your intake form
Form collects pet information, vet details, emergency contacts, etc.
You review their information before the appointment
Best practice: Always require an intake form. You need essential information (vet, medications, access instructions) before caring for someone's pet.
β Building Your Intake Forms
Preview Your Booking Page
Always preview before sharing:
Click Preview Booking Page (or visit your URL directly)
Test the booking flow as a client would see it
Check:
β Photos load correctly and look good
β About section is clear and compelling
β Services display with correct pricing
β Social links work
β Reviews show properly (if enabled)
β Booking flow works smoothly
β Mobile view looks good (most clients book on mobile!)
Sharing Your Booking Page
Once your page looks great, share it everywhere:
Where to Share
Email signature: Add a "Book Now" link
Social media: Facebook, Instagram bio, posts
Google Business Profile: Add as your booking URL
Business cards: Print your booking URL
Website: Link prominently from your site
Local directories: Pet care listings, Nextdoor, etc.

QR Code (Optional)
Create a QR code for your booking URL to use on:
Flyers and posters
Business cards

Mobile Experience
Most clients will book on their phones. Your booking page is automatically optimized for mobile, but always test it yourself:
Open your booking page on your phone
Go through the entire booking process
Check that photos look good
Ensure text is readable
Test the form filling experience
The mobile experience uses drawers (slide-up panels) instead of pop-ups for a smoother experience.

Common Questions
Q: Can I use my own domain name?
A: Currently, booking pages use the app.scritches.io/book/[address] format. You can link to it from your own website.
Q: How do I get reviews to display?
A: Reviews require the Solo Pro plan which includes Review Booster. Send report cards after visits to trigger automatic review requests.
Q: Can I hide my address from the booking page?
A: Yes. Your business address (from Business Settings) doesn't automatically appear on your booking page. You control what's visible.
Q: What if someone books when I'm unavailable?
A: If you've set up your availability correctly, they can only book during your available times. Use Request Mode for extra control.
Q: Can I temporarily close bookings?
A: Yes - disable your booking page in Portal Settings. It will show "Bookings currently unavailable" to visitors.
Q: Do I need a website if I have a booking page?
A: Not necessarily. Your booking page can function as your primary online presence, and successful pet care businesses have accomplished this. However, itβs generally recommended to have a holistic online presence (website, Facebook page, Instagram, etc.) for better brand visibility.
